Exyte, a global leader in the technology engineering sector, started a new project on an existing construction site near Hamina, Finland. Exyte approached Chat-Com, seeking to repurpose existing radio network equipment previously used on-site. Leveraging the current infrastructure, we implemented significant cost savings by reprogramming the network, which allowed us to provide a highly efficient solution tailored to Exyte’s needs.
Our team conducted an on-site visit to reprogram the equipment and ensure complete coverage across the project area. We added a Motorola Capacity Plus network capable of supporting up to 350 units, with room to grow on the busy site. Additionally, we worked with Traficom, the local Finnish radio licensing authority, to issue new exclusive radio licenses, ensuring privacy for all site workers and full legal compliance.
The system incorporated key features like an emergency all-call function, ensuring quick, effective responses in case of a site-wide emergency and enhanced safety for all on-site teams. Exyte appreciated Chat-Com’s ability to seamlessly integrate with its existing network, reducing setup time while promoting sustainability through infrastructure reuse.
